Down the Hall, to Your Right & Back to the Ocean

Down the Hall, to Your Right & Back to the Ocean is a reflection on memory and its relationship with domestic spaces. The main character, the house itself which is based on my childhood home, reveals its own fragility while also unveiling the flawed and fragmented nature of remembrance.

Of Paper & Thread

Of Paper & Thread is an investigation of the beauty and fragility of the domestic told through delicate, ethereal worlds carefully constructed of water soluble paper & thread, and accompanied by sand animation.

Flow

Flow is an exploration of the female body, expression of human connection to nature, and acknowledgement of the history of female creation told through the birth of our world through Mother Nature’s menstrual blood. Mediums that have been considered “women’s work,” including embroidery, watercolor, and quilting, were primarily used in the production.

Drift

Drift examines the connections between the human condition and the nature of the elements that make up an ocean's environment through the comparison of a female figure to a variety of seashells, and the movement of waves. Through the juxtaposition of these visual components, the conceptual similarities that lie between humans and this landscape are brought into light.
